Want Free Tickets To Feastival?

All you have to do is give us your best idea for a restaurant.

For those of you who’ve been living under a rock for the past month, here’s a quick reminder: Feastival is coming. It’s happening this Thursday, September 12. It is one of the biggest and coolest and drinkiest food festivals of the year, with a bajillion restaurants participating and slinging their very best grub for the crowd. This is the place where Questlove’s fried chicken debuted. Where we got our first taste of Federal Donuts. Where naked acrobats pour champagne from trapeez swings. And yes, tickets are still available. Not many, but some.

But for those of you who don’t want to pay to get in, we have this to offer: One free pair of tickets.

It’s all we could get. And we’re not just going to give the things away, no. We want you to work for them. And so, we have devised a little contest…

So here’s how this is going to work. While there may be music and booze and an auction and (occasionally naked) entertainment and about a thousand fancy folk all flashing their veneers at each other, Feastival is really all about the food. And the food all comes from restaurants–often brilliant, occasionally goofy restaurants which, in years past, have sometimes used Feastival as their launching pad.

What we’re asking is for each of you, in 100wds or less, to pitch your best idea for a restaurant in the comments section below. The concept that YOU hope to someday maybe debut at Feastival yourself.

Be as detailed as you can. Give us all the high points. Think of this as the virtual elevator pitch for your shot at greatness. Oh, and one more complication? We here at Foobooz World HQ are not going to pick the winner. Because restaurants exist for the people, we’re going to let the Foobooz fans and commenters choose the best pitch by voting up the one that they like best.

Cheating, vote-buying and stuffing the digital ballot box is not only acceptable, but encouraged. Rally your supporters, wrangle your friends, whatever it takes to get your concept voted to the top of the heap. We’re going to let this contest run for 24-hours, so all pitches have to be entered into the comments by 1pm tomorrow, Sept. 10. And we’ll be announcing the official winner before the end of the day tomorrow.

We clear? Everything make sense? Then what are you waiting for. A pair of free tickets to the best party of the year awaits.
