Hmmm, is a ‘Gourmet Dressing’ on a salad equivalent to ‘Whatever Chef feels like making tonight’?

It is a magical dressing that makes shrimp, crab and lobster magically work with blue cheese and bacon.

Tempting as it is to pop in for a $9 side of “steamed broccoli,” is there really a market for this sort of thing?

We had a great meal at Ocean Prime on Friday evening. The Ahi Tuna Tartare appetizer was out of this world. Three of us had different cuts of steak that all came out as ordered (which I find rare (pardon the pun) as usually at least one steak comes out wrong). The desserts were also very good…including the Carrot Cake and the Blueberry Lemon Cheesecake (however it’s listed).

Service was a bit slow – but that’s what the preview evening was for…to work the kinks out. I’ve always enjoyed Capital Grille and Fleming’s (Morton’s not so much)…but if Ocean Prime can keep the quality level up and fine tune their service…to me it will be a better meal than any of those other names mentioned above. I can’t compare to Barclay Prime, as I’ve never been…but always heard it’s the pinnacle of steak houses.

So you not only had a free dinner at friends and family but thought Tuna Tartare was out of this world.
We are supposed to take this seriously?

      • JA

Frankly, I don’t give a rat’s butt how you take it!

        • Busted

          LOL…touchy touchy are we?
Anyway your “shill-o-riffic” post is so obvious as a response to the previous ones that you are either employed there or involved in some way. BTW Ahi is Tuna so I hope you enjoyed the Tuna tartare of Tuna….lol !

          • JA

Wow, touchy? Hardly! Shill? Not at all. What’s it like to think you’re so right…when you’re so wrong? It was a better than average meal and I expressed it…if that strikes a chord with you….oh, well! Eat there or don’t…I couldn’t care less!
