Ex-Pat Brewers Debut Their New Beer Around Town

Two Philadelphia ex-pat brewers have gotten together to create a collaboration beer. Casey Hughes, former brewer at Flying Fish and Mike Fava, former Nodding Head brewer have both moved on from Philadelphia. Hughes has moved to Florida where he is brewmaster of the brand new Coppertail Brewery in Tampa. Fava went in the opposite direction, heading north to Maine and the Oxbow Brewing Company. Their collaboration brew, Grizacca will be hitting the streets of Philadelphia tonight and over the weekend.

Look for the beer to be tapped at Nodding Head tonight at 6 p.m. and later at Good Dog. Friday sees events at the Khyber Pass Pub and Philadelphia Bar & Restaurant. On Sunday you can sample the American Grisette, a style similar to a Belgian farmhouse ale at Pub on Passyunk East, Varga Bar and Industry.
