Dock Street Brewery Celebrates Six Years in the Fire House

This Thursday August 22nd, Dock Street Brewery celebrates six years of  beer and pizza in their firehouse and over 25 years in the craft brewing industry. The special event includes all sorts of sweet deals: drafts will be half price from 4-6 p.m. and the first 25 guests will receive a souvenir gold logo tulip glass. Plus they will be premiering a Trappist IPA and re-releasing Firehouse Saison, Satellite Espresso Stout, and That’s What She Said.

More on the beers

Trappist IPA was brewed in collaboration with past Dock Street Brewer Scott Morrison, George Hummel of Homesweet homebrew and Tom Peters of Monk’s Café. Inspired by Orval and brewed with saccharomyces and brettanomyces for a moderate sour character. This collaboration is a rare thing, obviously the beer is limited.

Firehouse Saison, a favorite of DS Head Brewer Justin Low, is brewed with a small percentage of smoked malts. The flavor delivers a low-key chewy flavor of smokiness balanced by the fruity saison yeast.

Satellite Espresso Stout is brewed with locally roasted organic fair trade espresso beans from our friends at Standing Stone. Espresso is added at different points during the brewing process for full integration of flavor and aroma.

That’s What She Said is a saison brewed with roasted cacao nibs with a nice medium body despite its dark amber appearance.
