Center City Sips alts at Jet and Rex

Hump day blues got you down? Remedy your midweek ennui with relaxing cocktails on South Street West at either Jet Wine Bar or Rex 1516. Both are offering awesome Wednesday happy hour specials for the night.

From 5-7 p.m., Rex 1516 is serving up their most renowned cocktail: The Mint Julep! Patron favorite bartender Sweet Lou mixes up his speciality cocktail with a surprise infusion of his own creation for just $6. Nibble on some of their signature $5 bar bites, highlights include Fried Asparagus with a lemon aioli or their BBQ Chicken Sliders, Carolina style with coleslaw on brioche buns. Since happy hour doesn’t start until 9 over at Jet Wine Bar why not stay for dinner? Nothing beats chowing down on their famous Fried Chicken or Pimento Cheeseburger after a few too many Juleps.

After an evening of Mint Juleps and eats at Rex 1516 head over to Jet Wine Bar, which features their stellar happy hour menu from 9-11pm. Night cap specials include $5 house red and white wines, $3 Kenzingers and a $5 bartender’s choice cocktail. There are also a variety of $3 and $5 snacks such as their bruschetta ($3) and nachos ($5), if you are still hungry.
