On Saturday, July 20th from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., the South Street Headhouse District, in conjunction with Hot Diggity, will host the 2nd Annual Dog Days of Summer Hot Dog Cook-Off contest and celebration. The event will be held at the historic Headhouse Shambles, located on 400 block of South 2nd Street between Lombard and Pine.

The cook-off will feature hot dogs created by 11 of Philadelphia’s favorite restaurants as well as an amateur toppings contest. Participating restaurants include:

  • Copabanana
  • Bistro Romano

The champions will be determined by a panel of local celebrity judges. Guests will also have the opportunity to vote for their favorite dog. The winner of the amateur toppings contest will have their creation featured on the menu of Hot Diggity! for a month.
