Kermit’s Bake Shoppe Has Us Excited by Weekend Breakfast Opportunities

Kermit's Bake Shoppe - Bagels - Gold Star Photography

Kermit’s Bake Shoppe is officially opening on Monday, July 22nd but will be offering limited service Wednesday and Thursday for their Twitter and Facebook fans.  That’s all well and good but what really has us excited it Kermit’s weekend plans.

It is on Saturdays and Sundays that Kermit’s will be offering their croissants and bagels. We’ve already tried Chad Durkin’s croissants and haven’t been able to shake our lust for more buttery goodness since. But bagels at $1.25 a piece also has us thinking that weekend breakfast will begin on Washington Avenue.

Unfortunately, Kermit Gosnell is the first name that popped into my head when I saw “Kermit’s Bake Shoppe.”

Man, really? It truly isn’t easy being green.

Really? I thought it was at least in part a Kermit Ruffins reference?http://www.basinstreetrecords.com/artists/kermit-ruffins/

It is. It’s named for Adam Ritter’s cat which is in turn named for Kermit Ruffins. I happen to think of the frog before either other Kermit.

Not surprising given your impaired intelligence and arrested maturity level Art

Means a lot coming from someone who referred to the mayor as Mr. Potatohead.

            Maybe because he does? http://cheezburger.com/4063537152

Who cares what he looks like? He has been a thoroughly ineffective leader. Good at grandstanding, but has basically no accomplishments. We still have a bloated and useless bureaucracy (same amount of govt cars as NYC), a failed school system, non-collected taxes, ridiculous and unforced regulations, etc. Sorry, Mr. Potato Head is apt in more ways than 1.

Touches a nerve with Artie cause he is also looks like a cartoon and ran an ineffective blog and job posting site that Phillymag has to try to save http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=mayor%20michael%20nutter

How can you say the Foobooz job posting site is ineffective? It has 7 jobs from July, that’s $175 in revenue in ONE MONTH. Wow, congrats on that lol….

Oh my. Just had my first slice. And then my second. And then… too embarrassed to go on. Welcome to the ‘hood.

If i can finally get a decent god damn bagel around here, I will be happy. If I can get it for cheap I will be there every week.
