Brian Mahon Brings a New Menu to MilkBoy

Center City’s MilkBoy is bringing in some new blood for spring. Chef Brian Mahon is now running the kitchen.

If the name sounds familiar, that’s because Mahon is a vet who has been kicking around the scene for more than 20 years. He got his start at the National Constitution Center (working under Chef/Caterer Max Hansen), then did time at Good Dog under Jessica O’Donnell, worked with Chris Painter back when he was the chef at Kitchen 233 in New Jersey, and at El Camino Real in NoLibs. After that, it was 3 years at Standard Tap where he earned his gastropub merit badge. And most recently, Mahon was exec at the Perch Pub. So yeah, the man knows a few things about cooking for folks with their elbows up on the bar.

Of course a new chef also means a new menu, which will be rolling out next Wednesday, April 24th. We don’t have all the details yet, but be looking for some classic Brit food (Scotch eggs, Welsh rarebit, meat pies and watercress salad) as well as a whole new entrée section, featuring pastas, tuna steak and lots more. And for dessert? PB&J spring rolls. Because why not?
