Weavers Way Co-Op and Iron Hill Chestnut Hill Team Up for Two Events


On Wednesday, April 10, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Iron Hill Brewery in Chestnut Hill will donate 20% of proceeds (alcohol excluded) to Weavers Way Community Programs (WWCP), Weavers Way’s non-profit arm focused on promoting farm education to kids. Then on Friday, April 26, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Iron Hill Chestnut Hill will host Shop Your Co-op Night, offering a specials menu featuring ingredients you can buy  next door at Weavers Way Co-op. Chef Jared Cannon’s menu will feature local produce and meats meant to inspire you to create your own culinary masterpieces at home.

Food Justice Exposé, Part 2 on Wednesday, April 10 from 7:30-9:00. Activist and scholar Mordechai Leibling will present the second of three talks on the transparency of the food supply chain and how what you eat affects the world. All are welcome to attend; the lecture is free. Green on Greene, 6819 Greene Street.
