Lorenzo’s Pizza Aims to Reopen in April

Lorenzo’s & Sons Pizza was hit by a fire back on June 27th, 2012. Since then the building has been gutted and owner Giuseppe Pulizzi has vowed to reopen his South Street pizza destination. Michael Klein is reporting that Lorenzo’s will indeed reopen in April. And there may be some changes, including for the first time ever, toppings.

Here’s a question, Foobz: Did Lorenzo’s (South St location) ever offer slices with toppings, that you know of? I know you can get toppings if you order a whole pie…

Never toppings on slices. That’s why you had to add your own cheesesteak.

Hmm, I thought they had already re-opened. Their pizza is really good but over the past year I’ve found some amazing spots in Philly. Sure these other spots don’t treat their customers like inconveniences, but that was Lorrenzo’s charm, or something

If only they coulda combined Lorenzo’s with Mako’s, THEN we woulda had something. As is, folks are being forced to check out other joints and realizing there’s plenty o places just as good. Just not as staggering drunk convenient.
