Six Pack: Lobster Specials in Philadelphia



As lobster prices hit a 30 year-low and finding funny colored crustaceans is at an all-time high we’re starting to see the seasonal specialty all over. Though experts on the lobster glut say consumers outside of Maine won’t see price drops or specials it looks like these six Philly restaurants are bringing them to us anyway. Enjoy it while you can.

Lobster in Conshohocken

If you’re looking for some lobster deals in the ‘burbs try Stella Blu. Every Thursday night through Labor Day they will be serving whole Maine lobsters with a side of linguini and a grape tomato salad for just $24.95.

Twin Lobster Dinner at Oyster House

Since we’re such big fans of the Oyster House special brought back this year by popular demand we are reminding you of it yet again. Every Wednesday in July and August you can get two Maine lobsters with corn on the cob for $26 from 5-10pm.

Five Course Feast in Ambler

August is “Lobstah Month” at Dettera in Ambler. They are serving a five course lobster dinner for just $45. The courses include a classic lobster roll, a lobster consommé, a lobster enchilada, a de-shelled and butter-poached lobster, and sweet corn gelato for dessert.

Salt Seasonings at Kris

Every Thursday until the end of August Kris Restaurant in Passyunk Square will be serving up a 1.25 pound Maine lobster with garlic butter, fingerling potatoes, and seasoned salts (like fennel and chili flavored) that rotate weekly all for $23.

Lobster Pot for Two

As we told you earlier Varga Bar has updated its menu to include a lobster pot for two for $36.50. The pot includes jumbo lump crab-stuffed Maine lobster, clams, mussels, jumbo shrimp, scallops, chorizo sausage, potatoes, corn on the cob, and garlic bread.

Mrs. Pugh’s Summer Lobster Pot

This year’s Heirloom Recipe Contest winner was Nancy Pugh of Erdenheim with her Summer Lobster Pot. The item, featured on the Heirloom menu for the summer, features lobster, chicken, clams, mussels, corn, fingerling potatoes, and Old Bay broth.
