NSFW Friday: Zombie Burlesque, Video Dance Party and Solo Eats Some Brains

Sure, the 4th of July was fun and all, but for those in the food world, the real party was the night before–July 3rd, when Zahav and Michael Solomonov threw their third annual Down The Shore party. And this year’s theme? Zombie Luau, baby! And man did the city turn out…

What’s that? You spent the day before Independence Day fasting and cleansing in preparation for our nation’s birthday? Well have no fear, my ascetic friends. Because the Foobooz Mobile Party Unit was on hand and we had Yoni Nimroad on the scene with his camera. Not only did he capture all the fun, weirdness, brain-eating, zombie strippers, famous faces and undead awesomeness, but he also managed to shoot a video of the official Zombie Luau Thriller dance-off. Nice work if you can get it, right?

So just click through the jump and take a look. It’ll almost be like you were there–without having to worry about Michael Solomonov eating your brains.

Peter Woolsey, taking a night off from Bistrot La Minette to get his zombie on.

Jen Carroll is a zombie? Is that why Concrete Blonde is taking so long to open?

More zombies.

Service was done plate-lunch style with a whole crew to do the cooking.

Apparently, Terrence Feury managed to escape the clutches of the undead. At least for now…

Zahav’s Yehuda Sichel was not so lucky.

Neither was Art.

Zombies zombies everywhere…

Including zombie strippers!

Told you it was a great party.

I kinda want that poster for the Foobooz World HQ offices. Wonder how much Solo wants for it…

Happy Friday everyone!
