Morning Glory’s Samantha “Sam” Mickey Succumbs to Cancer

Samantha “Sam” Mickey, owner and chef at Sam’s Morning Glory Diner passed away on May 12th after a long battle with cancer. Her diner has been a Bella Vista institution at 10th and Fitzwater since its opening in 1997, even receiving three bells from Inquirer food critic Craig LaBan. Every weekend locals and visitors alike still line up for the frittatas, French toast, fresh coffee and homemade ketchup.
