Is Our Best Thai in Roxborough?

Adam Erace heads to Leverington and Ridge and discovers Phu Fha Thai, an until now below the radar Thai restaurant in Roxborough. Erace even goes as far to say Phu Fha is the answer to our Thai discontent.

Do you know another Thai cook simmering a stockpot of the Chiang Mai specialty called hung lay curry? I don’t, but I’d wager none could top Phongchang’s version, as shiny and black as dark-chocolate ganache. Cloaking hunks of braised pork loin, the curry’s complex, long-lasting umami had me tasting tamarind, peanut, onion and chili all the way to the evening’s mango-sticky-rice finale.

Isn’t this the same guy whose last review of a Thai joint included his dismay of not being provided chopsticks?!

I’ll defend Adam as a reviewer, but yes, his review complaining about lack of chopsticks at Sawatdee was a low point.

Everything that comes out of his mouth sounds like words from a man who has reached his own low point. His weak attempts to use metaphors for every single instance is repetitive and desperate. I would be embarrassed to have him represent my paper or any notable critic source. What a shame.
