Yards Real Ale Invitational

The Philadelphia Real Ale Invitational is returning to Yards Brewing Company on Sunday, March 25 from 1 to 5 p.m. More than twenty of the nation’s finest cask ale producers (and perhaps some international brewers as well) will be offering a variety of cask ales. Cask ale, or real ale as the event’s title suggests is unfiltered and unpasteurized beer that is conditioned and served from a cask without additional nitrogen or carbon dioxide pressure. Yards which played a big part in resurrecting the style is hosting the Real Ale Invitational as cask cask beer’s flagship event.

The 5th annual Invitational will feature around 23 different cask conditioned beers and breweries. Food will be provided, live music supplied, and all attendees will receive a commemorative mug. Additionally, the entire brewery space will be open to guests, allowing them to explore Yards Brewery from the Tasting Room to the bottling line.

VIP and General Admission tickets are available for $65 and $50 respectively. VIP tickets allow attendees to arrive an hour early for a private tour of the brewery with brew master and founder, Tom Kehoe. VIPs will also be able to sample something special from Yards Brewing Company that doesn’t see the outside of the brewery very often.
