Hanukkah Happenings Around Town

Looking to celebrate Hanukkah through your stomach? Here are some local spots doing something special for Hanukkah.

Zahav - Every night during Hanukkah Zahav is offering a special $45 per person menu featuring glazed brisket, lattkes and young chicken al Ha’esh.

Spread Bagelry – Spread now serves pastrami direct from Katz’s Delicatessen in New York. Spread’s Facebook page highlights some of the ways to experience it at the 20th Street bagel spot.

Supper – Mitch Prensky’s South Street restaurant is offering a $50 per person Hanukkah dinner tonight. Check out Facebook for the whole menu.

Art of Bread by Georges Perrier – Special menu through Hanukkah will feature cheddar cheese bread, Challah bread plain, Challah bread raisin and mini Challah bread.

National Mechanics – Tonight the Old City bar is hosting karaoke and their newsletter suggests this song.

Aaaaaand…your pictures continue to suck. What is the matter with you guys? A $29 camera phone takes a better shot. Mediocre. I mean try.

Someone should tell George Perrier that challah isn’t a Hanukkah bread.

No one is making soufganiyot? Sad.

  • Britt

Oh, I see Supper is! YAY!

Yeah the Art of Bread “chanukah menu” makes no sense at all.

The Zahav menu includes sufganiyot for dessert.

Mama’s on 20th St usually has sufganiyot this time of year, I haven’t been in recently to check this year.
