Fireplace Lighting Party at Devil’s Den

A couple of days ago the thought of lighting a fireplace seemed ridiculous. But that was way back in November and now it’s December 1st. So tonight Devil’s Den ignites its fireplace for the first time this season.

The bar will be tapping smoked and wood-aged beers.

  • Stillwater/Mikkeller Rauchstar
  • Dark Horse Rauch Wit
  • New Holland Charkota Rye
  • Lost Abbey Angel Share
  • Port Brewing Old Viscosity
  • Firkin of Yards Bourbon Barrel Aged George Washington Porter
  • Professor Fritz Briem Piwo Grodziskie – Grätzer Ale (Smoked Polish Wheat)
  • Weyerbacher Heresy & Aecht Schlenkerla Eiche (Oaked Smoked Doppelbock)

Wow! A fireplace lighting! Slow FooBooz nooz day!

Guess you would have to know something about beer to understand it is not necessarily about the Fireplace lighting.

Lol, I know enough about beer to know you don’t need a lit fireplace to drink it!

I know enough about beer to name the Noble Hops (and almost “noble hops”) without looking them up.

I know enough about beer to name the 7 monasteries authorized to use the term “Authentic Trappist Product” on their labels again without looking up – I just might not spell them properly!

I know enough about beer to give an opinion regarding troubleshooting issues with your draught/draft beer system from the keg to the glass – whether it’s a long draw, short draw, glycol or air cooled.

    So you’re right I probably don’t understand!

You apparently don’t know enough about beer to know that it’s the drink of the barbarians and that people should drink wine instead.

I too am shocked to read a press release from a Philly restaurant, published on foobooz…
