Weekend: From Tap Takeovers to Meatball Matchups

It’s a tap takeover at City Tap House. Over 30 acclaimed beers by Ommegang, Dogfish and Allagash will be featured.

Saturday

Weavers Way Co-op will celebrate Co-op Month at its second annual Taste Fair. From noon to 4 p.m. local vendors who will be on hand, serving up free samples of their products. Solebury Apple Cider, Urban Apiaries honey, John and Kiras chocolates, Molly’s bakery, Zone 7 produce, and Weavers Way’s own prepared foods department. There will also be live music and face painting for the kids.

What’s more Swedish than meatballs? Did you say Ikea? Well the American Swedish Historical Society has that covered as well during their second annual Meatball Matchup. From 4 to 6 p.m. local restaurants and talented amateurs will compete in a meatball contest. Pro competitors include: Pastificio, Marabella Meatball Co, Ikea, Villa di Roma and Village Belle Cost. Cost is just $8 for adults, $6 for seniors and students, $4 for ages 4-12.
