There’s More Than One Saturday in October

We just checked with Google Calendar, there are FIVE Saturdays in October but it seems everyone is throwing a big festival on the the first.

There’s the Midtown Village Fall Festival and two other outdoor fests just in Center City. Love Park is throwing a festival of its own with food trucks, bands and Yards beer. The festival costs $20 per person and will feature the debut of Pitruco, the latest mobile pizza oven that will be serving up Neapolitan style pizzas. Saturday is also the official debut of Lenfest Plaza. The all-day affair will also feature Tyson Bee’s, Dapper Dog, The Crepewalk, Buttercream, SugarPhilly, Cantina Burrito and House of Pita.

Over in Fishtown the RiverCity Festival brings live music, a beer garden and a fun run to Penn Treaty Park.

At the Institute it is third annual Great Pumpkin Beer festival with a terrifying number of pumpkin beers to try. And then there’s also the Farmers’ Cabinet’s Franctoberfest of German craft beers. And that doesn’t even get into whatever we’ve forgotten that we’re sure you all will post in the comments.

All great events, but next year, can we spread them out a bit?
