OH Shucks

Tomorrow Oyster House is hosting its second ever oyster shucking contest. Professional oyster shuckers across Philadelphia will compete for a $200 grand prize. An amateur shucking contest will follow the pros and with shuckers having the chance to win $100 in Oyster House gift certificates.

The competition begins at 2pm and guests are welcome to attend. The $5 admission includes access to all the shucked oysters. The Oyster House bar will also be open and special firkin of a local craft beer will be tapped.

Drew Lazor from City Paper, Jamie Shanker from Midtown Lunch and yours truly will be judging the contest. All competitors will be judged on speed and accuracy.
