A Spring Awakening of Our Stomachs

Weber's Root Beer

We don’t believe in the forecasts of groundhogs and we’re supremely suspicious of rogue 60-degree days in February. But we are attuned to the true signs of spring and we spotted one of our favorites this past weekend: the four disks of Weber’s spinning on Route 38 near the Cherry Hill Mall, which was alive with a steady stream of traffic pulling in for hot dogs and root beer served car-side.

Another welcome sign: this Friday, Capogiro on Passyunk Avenue reopens for the season.

It’ll be no time before the throngs return to the sidewalks in front of Rouge and Parc. Any other food-related things that mean spring to you all? Tell us in the comments.
