Starr & Beer

Last night, via Twitter we asked our followers to guess who was serving up the following draft list:

Guess the beer list: Bro. Thelonious Belgian, Bells 2 Hearted, Dock Street Man Full of Trouble, North Coast Old Rasputin, Cuvee des Jacobins

Several of Philadelphia’s better beer bars were guessed but no one came close to the correct answer, Continental Old City. The list of beers would satisfy any beer snob  and would have been unimaginable even two years ago at a Stephen Starr restaurant where the selection hovered around the Stella, Hoegaarden, Yuengling levels.

Over at the Feast is more proof of how the Starr Empire is embracing better beer. The Dandelion has started collaborating with local breweries to create special one-off firkins for the British pub. First up is a special wood-chip aged Scarlet Lady ESB from Stoudt’s.
