Brown Betty Is on the Move

The NoLibs cupcakery will relocate in February

After six years, Brown Betty Dessert Boutique is pulling up stakes at its original Northern Liberties location on Liberties Walk. Owner Norrinda Brown will close the store sometime between the middle and end of January, but NoLibs cupcake fanatics need not worry, they won’t be cupcake-free for long. On February 13, Brown Betty will reopen just down the street at 722 N. 2nd Street with the same baked goods we love and a lot more space.

The new 2,500-square-foot bi-level location will feature an area for private events (hello, bridal showers!), plus more sitting room for customers to stop in for a coffee and a cupcake, or one of the bakery’s other desserts. Expect the same “modern vintage” vibe as the original Betty boutique. The other two Center City Betty locations will stay put.
