Weekend

Friday

It’s First Friday, a perfect opportunity to finally check out Philadelphia Bar & Restaurant on Market between Front and 2nd. At TJ’s in Paoli today they’re offering Brooklyner Weiss through their Randall which will add Banana chips and whole cloves to the beer.

Saturday

Can you tailgate a bridge opening? We really want to for the South Street Bridge reopening. And then we can mercilessly boo the first Penn kid that comes across (we joke, we joke). The South Street West Business Association is celebrating the return of the bridge with Dollar Day where several local businesses will be offering items for just $1 and look for Grace Tavern to be offering beer at the Grays Ferry Triangle after 4. Further south Percy Street Barbecue is welcoming West Philadelphia back with 10% off for all who have a valid Drexel or UPenn (school or hospital) ID.

Sunday

Supper will be hosting its monthly Sunday Supper this weekend and in addition to the $38 family-style dinner they will also be tapping a special firkin of Dock Street’s Man Full of Trouble Porter at 5pm. This is no ordinary Man Full of Trouble as it has been aged in an emptied apple brandy barrel. Sunday will also kick off Harvest Week which we promise we’ll get to on Monday.
