Nerd Alert: Google Insights for Search

As we were preparing our Guide to Restaurant Week we wondered how many people would be searching for information about Philadelphia restaurants as they prepared to eat out. So we checked out Google Insights for Search and were impressed to see how searches for the phrase Philadelphia restaurant spikes in January and September, the months where Center City District holds its semiannual restaurant extravaganza.

And since we are food nerds, we had to compare the online search fates of Stephen Starr and Jose Garces.

It’s impressive to see what becoming Iron Chef has done for Garces’ search fame.
