Guy Fieri in Town

We didn’t know so many of you would be so excited to know that Guy Fieri is in town today but we keep getting emails. Earlier in the day the host of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives was filming at Memphis Taproom and he is at Good Dog Bar right now. And according to Flying Fish’s Twitter feed, Guy is being joined by Flying Fish brewer, Casey Hughes.

Someone tell him his glasses are on backwards.

  • Tex

This is a real tragedy. The fact that he’ll be featuring Philadelphia establishments might actually tempt me to watch that episode of his insufferable show.

  • BB

Looks like we have ourselves a one-way ticket to flavor town, hhhmmmmmmm

  • aimee

He’s very annoying!!! He was also at Honey’s the other day.

Guy hating is cool these days, but the basic idea of his show is popular with most people and it shows. I had a falafel omelette sandwich with hot sauce from a food truck I never knew existed two blocks from my office thanks to him. Keep it going guy, don’t listen to the haters.

  • kbor

Eldondre- can u elaborate more on this falafel omelette?

  • Pete LaVerghetta

Guy Ferry is in the house. What a no-talent hack.

  • Tex

Eldondre–yes, please elaborate on that falafel omlette. And Guy hating is not “cool these days”; it’s the responsible thing to do.

  • Dom

I think eldondre is referring to an episode of “The Best Thing I Ever Ate” on the Food Network. Robert Irvine had that exact same description of a falafel omelette on a long roll with Srichacha from a food truck somewhere on Drexel’s campus.

eh, I watch his show, I’m okay with it. guy hating is definitely the cool thing to do..though admittedly, I don’t think menphis deserves to be up there. nice bar but not that special. donna’s has better pierogies. and yes, it was irvine.
