Paesano’s Burger Dissected

paesano_burger via Philly Phoodie

The Paesano Burger is now on the menu at the 9th and Christian location of Paesano’s. Philly Phoodie breaks down this inglorious bastard of two patties, bacon, caramelized onions, Gorgonzola cheese, French fries all packed onto a sesame seed roll.

It might be unfair to post this on a Monday as Paesano’s Italian Market location is only open Wednesday through Sunday. We’ll see you there on Wednesday though.

Foobooz references too many bloggers’ sites that simply have inferior writing and text. I understand the need to present updated food information, but most of the bloggers who draft food updates have such poor writing, misspellings and incorrect grammar. I appreciate the Philly food updates, but I can do without the average writing.

    Must have.

    DD,

I agree my pictures might sometimes be unclear, but I also blog on the go, and update constantly. iPhone photos make sense for my purpose. However, I have very few grammatical errors, and I correct any that come to light. I also receive lots of compliments on my writing. Perhaps if you looked before complaining anonymously, you might agree. Perhaps not. Thanks to foobooz for the link!

Hmm, now I’m torn between this and the burger at Ladder 15 when my meat embargo ends.

This Paesano burger looks amazing, I’ll be there tomorrow to try it! Thanks, Philly Phoodie, for your dedication to sharing the local gems in a style that’s easily relatable, keep up the good work!

Double YUM! I’d never seen Philly Phoodie’s site before and (although some pics are a little blurry) I think he’s super passionate about the Philly food scene with very informative write ups. You’ve done it again, Foobooz! Thanks for the new link!!!

Not for me, i don’t like well done burgers or fries on a sammich. however, i love some of their other sammichs especially the sucking pig with long hots.

Just went and no burgers on the menu yet. But they do have a McLovin, Corned beef melt with roasted potatoes on it.

Wondering if the burger was a special that day. Personally, I like the idea of Paesano’s having specials.

When I went 3 Saturdays ago it was on the menu then – maybe it’s a weekend thing?

Yeah, I had the burger during the week, maybe 3 weeks ago. It was on a seeded hamburger roll, not a double burger, and there were no fries. Still very tasty, although the bacon was maybe too thick and chewy.
