Levin Settles On NoLibs

Matthew Levin, who recently left Lacroix has his eyes set on a spot in Northern Liberties for his new eatery, Masano.

The food, says Levin, is Lacroix tasting menu meets gastropub: a high-low culinary mashup that will take the form of a year-round restaurant week — $35 for three plates. And with all bottles of wine priced under $50, the bar tab should also be easy to swallow.

The space itself will feel like an abandoned warehouse, says Levin. It’s an appropriate choice for this former warehouse district. He’s even bringing in local graffiti artists for some gritty wall art.

He’s looking to open by late summer.

this sounds like pretty much the perfect place, i can’t wait for this to open… i hope he finds a really talented bar manager to compliment his cuisine…

Is that really where he’s opening? The corner unit in that building has been empty since built. Wonder what it means for Copper, a fantastic spot on that block no one ever seems to talk about.

The article does not say the location.

Well, if my source of revenue was mp3-musicasite, I would have serious limitations on my bar tab too.

Beautiful building!! Great location – Didn’t this use to be an old dogfood factory? The transformation is awesome!
    Congrats Matt!
