Saturday
Art For The Cash Poor runs Saturday and Sunday in Fishtown. Not only is none of the artwork more than $199 there’s also lots of good food and drink too.
If hip-hop is your thing then the BBoy BBQ is the only place for you. From noon to 8 there will be DJs, painting, vendors and food. After party at Fluid will include complimentary Crown Royal from 11 PM to 1 AM.
A little further from downtown Philadelphia is the Great Eastern Invitational Microbrewery Festival at Stoudt’s Brewery in Adamstown, PA. There will of course be beer but also a dancing music and the “Best of the Wurst” sausage buffet.
Sunday
The Pro Cycling Tour comes to tour, or to the layman, the Manayunk bike race. So hop on the train and invite yourself over to your co-workers house in Manayunk for a barbecue and some beer.
This Sunday is also the Odunde Festival on South Street from 21st to 23rd Streets. Colorful processions and an authentic African marketplace are among the highlights.
