If you ever wanted to know the history of daguerreotype throughout Philadelphia between 1836 to 1869, your day has finally arrived.  The Library Company of Philadelphia will be hosting this exhibit which shows how daguerreotypes have changed society. The exhibit will consists of some of the Library Company's own collection along with early books about daguerreotyping, studio advertisements, equipment, and related ephemera.
