Riley Cooper Returns To Team

Just four days after Riley Cooper was excused from all team activities to seek counseling, he is back.

The Eagles announced Tuesday morning that Cooper has returned from his excused absence and is scheduled to participate in the joint practice with the Patriots this afternoon.

He will be made available to the media afterwards.

Cooper was fined an undisclosed amount and agreed to counseling after a video of him using a racial at a Kenny Chesney concert went viral. He was excused from team activities on Friday to seek that counseling.

Now he’s back, and faces the challenge of regaining the trust of some of his teammates.

“As a team we have to get past it. We have a season to deal with,” said Cary Williams Friday. “Obviously to me this issue supersedes the season. I think there is an elephant in the room that needs to be addressed. It’s an unfortunate situation for the team right now, to go through this during the dog days of camp.”
