Eagles Will Hold Afternoon Practice

The Eagles will hold their scheduled 2:45 practice this afternoon.

Tragic news came down Sunday morning when it announced that Andy Reid‘s oldest son, Garrett, was found dead at training camp. The decision has been made to continue on with the structure of training camp as the organization mourns the loss of one of its own.

“From a football perspective I can tell you that Andy has asked that we go forward with training camp,” said general manager Howie Roseman. “On a personal note, we’ve been with Andy for a long time. He has always been strong for us; we’re going to be strong for him right now. As a father and friend, we are all hurting.”

Jeffrey Lurie‘s state-of-the-team address, scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m., has been cancelled.

If those kids can maintain their concentration under the circumstances it’s a sure bet that the tough practices under exterme weather conditions has clearly paid off. I wouldn’t hold it against them if there are lapses in concentration this afternoon.
