From the street, Stephen Starr’s Moroccan Tangerine is intentionally nondescript, beckoning people in the know. Inside — especially in the spacious renovated lounge — find a sophisticated, middle-aged city crowd sipping cocktails like the “Strawberry Blonde” (a combination of Italian strawberry liquer and Blanc de Blanc champagne). Despite the move away from a strictly Tangier decor, family-style North African-influenced dishes are still passed around the atmospheric dining room.
