The owners of Sabrina’s Café in the Italian Market are no doubt hoping to (at least) double their clientele with the opening of a second location, but we were crossing our fingers that fans of their decadent brunches would spread out, shortening our Sunday wait for that stuffed French toast. Alas, we’re in line here, too. This Sabrina’s offers the same comforting menu and super-friendly service, but the Logan Square location, in a former diner, is even less formal. An open kitchen and a glass-fronted dessert case mix cheerfully with mismatched coffee mugs. A giant chalkboard heralds morning specials like pumpkin pancakes and the “Bayou Way” breakfast, with crawfish potato cakes. There’s lunch and dinner, too: sandwiches, burgers, meatloaf, tilapia, and creative veggie options.

I had the opportunity to experience the Sabrina's Cafe hospitality while waiting for my first class to start at CCP. This BYOB has a relaxing atmosphere and a staff eager to please. The Apple and Cheddar Omelette that I ordered was tasty and filling Posted by Jill: Sep. September 6th, 2007 at 8:57 AM
