Although opened in the summertime, the bar (where I sit) at Maia is easily one of the best attended in the area with a mix of young and older professionals hobnobbing together. The bar service is always exceptional, offering exciting specialty drinks and potent cocktails. Expansive beer and bottled wine list, but sadly the management seems to have fired its sommelier(?!). Food is fine, but badly in need of additional mid-range items. Alcohol prices should come down some, too.

Service in the Bistro was unsatisfactory and the wine list had little to choose from. Staff just seemed like they were there to socialize amongst themselves and could care less about their customers. I found this more apparent with some of the bartenders.

food was terrible, service aloof and atmosphere akin to a cafeterial. and obviously the wack wine list was thrown together with barely a thought. glad it's in 'nova and not the city. what an embarassment.

Met a freind for lunch on wed. Had the agnolotti and morrels app, excellent, and the ham and gruyere tart, also really delicious. Nice wines by the glass and great beer selection. Service was promt and know the menus well.

A glamerous center city spot in Villanova. The only place as beautiful is Nectar. Have only eaten in the Bistro so far but the food is excellent and a great beautiful people watching scene. Can't wait for the Restaurant to open.

Wow! An excellent(and much needed)addition to the area dining scene. Exciting atmosphere, I had the double headed prawn (no kidding) and loved it. Great wine list. Can't wait to bring out of town guests. You have to try it.

We were extremely disappointed w/ Maia. My wife got violently ill from the softshell crabs, my friend sent her tuna back because it tasted funny and they charged $16.50 for a Belvedere Vodka martini. The place looks nice, but very loud downstairs. Won't go back or recommend.

Dinner upstairs at Maia was a huge disappointment. Service was poor, food was undercooked, cold and not great. Gotta love that they didn't take the time to slip their menus into a real cover (two sheets of paper stapled together - maybe by Staples next door). Decor is really beautiful, and I am sure that the service and food issues will improve in time, but we will not be going back for dinner any time soon...
