Han Dynasty
260 North Pottstown Pike
Exton, PA 19341
#43 on the Philly Mag 50
Han Dynasty looks ordinary. It’s an unassuming restaurant in a strip mall in Exton, with beef-and-broccoli on the menu. Behind the facade, however, is a treasure trove of authentic Chinese cooking and a friendly staff happy to guide anyone through the menu. The chef specializes in spicy Szechuan — lamb with cumin, Dan Dan Mien noodles — but also offers milder Taiwanese favorites, such as lion’s head meatballs and three cup chicken.

This is by far one of the best Sezhuan/Sichuan restaurants I have been to...even many places in Chinatown in downtown Philly cannot compete! The have some typical entrees you'd find at a Chinese restaurant (think pork fried rice, etc), but they also have more authentic foods of Taiwan and Sichuan. And, the price is right too. Writing this review has got my mouth watering.

6 months ago we found a new asian restaurant in Exton. Our family's choice of ethnic is asian first. What a surprise to find a non typical suburban chinese with not only excellent american but also gourmet authentic southeast asian specialties especially Taiwanese. Han and his family are very accomodating and friendly. Newcomers can be adventurous with full staff help as well as eating excellent american chinese food. There must be something special about a suburban restaurant where at least half of the patrons are asian and the restaurant is crowded all the time

We love Han Dynasty. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed. Service is attentive. The food is deliciious. The menu is extensive, with a wide variety of meats, fish, seafood as well as many vegetarian choices. There are also authentic Chinese dishes on the last few pages of the menu. The wait staff is very willing to give information or advice on unfamiliar dishes. They also cook to order, using only the freshest ingredients, so any dish can be modified to your taste. The food at Han Dynasty is not fatty or starchy. The sauces are light and flavorful. We go to Han Dynasty almost every week and keep finding new favorites. I highly recommend Han Dynasty for Chinese food.
