The Overview
With Todd Lean, former chef/owner of now closed Old City BYOB Mandoline, at the helm, Deuce’s NoLibs kitchen is now turning out a lot more than just bar food. After taking over as executive chef this October, Lean expanded the menu to include more refined dishes like hanger steak with mushroom ragout, and prosciutto-wrapped monkfish. And yet, it’s the bar staples — crispy cheesesteak spring rolls, and brioche and fontina grilled cheese (paired with happy hour steals like $1 lagers) — that seem to taste best in this trendy neighborhood gastropub.
