#37 on the Philly Mag 50

Named for the colorful Arts and Crafts-era pottery Phoenixville produced a century ago, Majolica is one of the best BYOBs to open in recent years. Chef Andrew Deery’s fine-dining background (Kimberton Inn, Savona) resonates in sauces such as the brilliant green parsley emulsion surrounding porcini-dusted halibut, and the emphatic preserved lemon aioli with the chilled lobster appetizer. The chef’s wife, Sarah Johnson, oversees the understated dining room, furnished with handsome copper-top tables.
