The atmosphere is that of a hospital; cold and sterile. Our waiter was completely incompetent and referred to me as "boss" and "chief" all night, all the while neglecting our empty drinks and any resemblance of good service. The food was ok, but not for the prices. There are far better restaurants w/better service and value in this city.

This is the second restaurant for Stern. The menu has some of the same items as Gayle's. The parking and noise level, however, make this location not as pleasurable of a dining experience. I would go to Gayle's, rather than come here.

The best thing here was the free valet parking. Who would dine in an office building lobby for dinner at these prices? I guess I get it for lunch, they definitely need dimmers! The truffle pizza would have been good at $12, but at $18, no way. My tuna with horseradish was amateurish, the ice cream on the fish was silly and added nothing except to make a poor piece of fish cold. Is there salt and pepper even in this kitchen? The fish stew had a little better flavor, but that was the bacon in the beans, again the fish was devoid of flavor. We ordered the excellent Iron Horse wedding Cuvee by the glass. When it came time for refills the bartender purposely tried to switch us to something that was poured by accident, shame on her! We complained and got what we wanted. All in all the service was attentive but very uneven. Some were pros and some had no clue. Maybe if somebody else was paying I'd go back, but on my dime, never! There are too many places in town charging less for better food.
