Another Serious Hit and Run Took Place in Philly This Morning

This morning's hit and run, on Roosevelt Boulevard near Front Street, left the victim in critical condition. Cops are looking for a dark Acura or Honda.

A man was found injured after a hit and run accident on Roosevelt Boulevard this morning. Police say the man was transported in critical condition to Einstein Hospital with several broken bones. News reports say the force of the impact knocked the man out of his shoes.

Police are looking for the driver who hit him, and said the 25-year-old man may have been struck by a black or otherwise dark-colored vehicle, possibly a Honda or Acura. Investigators think the man may have been crossing against the light.

The hit and run is the second serious one reported in Philadelphia in just a few days. On Monday, Philadelphia stage actor Michael Toner lost his leg after he was hit at 11th and Market streets.

On Sunday night, “Adeiry” Matos-Garcia — a student at Olney High School — was struck and killed by a car while riding in Hunting Park on Cayuga Street near 6th.

This morning’s hit and run took place close to Sunday’s fatal crash, at the Boulevard and Front Street.
