Just in time for spring, arts and crafts store A.C. Moore just confirmed an opening date for its Center City flagship location. The 27,000-square-foot store will open its doors to customers on April 11th.

And as previously announced, its location at 100 South Broad Street (the former F.Y.E. space) is the national chain’s first urban location ever.

“We recognized a need in the Philadelphia retail space for a supplier of arts, crafts and home décor — all at competitive prices — and are taking advantage of the opportunity with this incredible new location,” said A.C. Moore chief marketing and merchandising officer, Anthony Piperno.

The location at Broad and Chestnut on the Avenue of the Arts is one of downtown’s busiest spots, and the Berlin, N.J. based retailer will take advantage of the foot traffic. The store will offer “a selection unparalleled to any of its kind in the nearby market,” said Piperno. Shoppers will have access to expanded departments including children’s activities, home décor, fine arts supplies and custom framing. Sounds like endless beads, clay, paint and glue for any craft project that you can think of. They’ll also even debut a first of its kind classroom in the store that will offer craft and art demonstrations and instructional courses for artists of every magnitude. The store will be complete with a space to host birthday parties for kids.

And it wouldn’t be a grand opening without some deals, right? Here are the opening week’s promotions:

  • Tuesday, April 11th: Free $10 gift cards to the first 500 customers
  • Wednesday, April 12th: 60 percent off any one regular priced item
  • Thursday, April 13th: 55 percent off any one regular priced item
  • Friday, April 14th: 15 percent off your entire purchase
