In business, getting an expert’s opinion is invaluable.

Take Shark Tank for example. For many contestants, the real prize is getting five established entrepreneurs to ask tough questions and find holes in the business plan.

Why don’t you just license the technology to an established vendor?

Why are you doing your own delivery?

Why is your pricing structure out of whack with market standards?

Answering these questions can save a company years of mistakes and lots of money.

Here at BizPhilly, we’ve been watching the city’s booming entrepreneurial culture very closely and we thought it would be nice to pair mentors with successful business people so they can share lessons learned and help entrepreneurs get to the next step.

So we’re launching a new initiative called “The Hookup” where we connect a young entrepreneur (or entrepreneurs) with an established business professional. First up is Jim Cramer, the outspoken host of CNBC’s Mad Money.

Want to get Cramer’s thoughts on your business and his undivided attention for 30 minutes? Send us a two-minute video pitch or a 250-word email detailing the following:

  • Tell us about your business. Who are you? What do you do? How did you get into it? Why are you the best person (or people) to start this business?
  • What are the biggest challenges your business is facing?
  • What questions would you like to ask Jim Cramer?

The winner will be selected June 3 and will have a phone meeting with Cramer the following week. What are you waiting for?
