If the neighborhood Wawa isn’t close enough for you, it’s now possible to have ice cream delivered to your door. New Jersey-based Send Ice Cream will ship a full sundae social — complete with scoop and napkins — anywhere. “I’ve shipped cakes to Alaska and sundaes to Hawaii,” says co-owner Joe Masters, who marketed the 76ers before turning his attention to ice cream.

In the fall, as parents send kids off to college, the mailing list is mainly dorm rooms. Who knows if sending enough Hershey’s ice cream, chocolate syrup, whipped cream plus the essential rainbow sprinkles and crushed nuts to feed 20 hungry classmates ($84.00 plus shipping and handling) will really improve Junior’s place in the campus social hierarchy — but the smoking dry ice it’s packed in will definitely provide some dormitory entertainment.
