According to Phawker’s unnamed sources inside both the Daily News and the Inquirer, Stephen A. Smith is losing his columnist megaphone at the paper and will be relegated to the position of a lowly general assignment reporter. Smith — reportedly the highest paid staffer on either paper, with a $100K+ salary — will, according to our own wizened source within the paper, not take this very well.
