Pretender pleads guilty: Jocelyn Kirsch, who along with her boyfriend is charged with identity theft, bank fraud and money laundering, has signed a plea deal that guarantees jail time. The young partners in crime lived extravagantly in a luxury Center City condo and now Kirsch faces a minimum of two years in prison. [6 ABC]
Jacking union funds?: A member of District Council 33 and opposition supporter has filed a complaint against union president Herman “Pete” Matthews accusing him of using union money, time and other assets to fund his campaign for re-election. A spokesman for the union states that there is “nothing illegal going on.” [Daily News]
Memorial Hall gets touched up: The Please Touch Museum will be moving into the historic Beaux Arts building, giving it a much-needed renovation to be completed by the fall. The Fairmount Park building was originally designed for the Centennial International Exhibition of 1876 but had fallen into severe disrepair. [CBS 3]
Cabbie gets Mike-Tysoned: A West Sedgwick man faces a slew of charges after he robbed and attacked his Quaker City Cab driver this weekend. According to police, Kenneth Williams climbed through the cab partition window and bit off part of the driver’s earlobe before forcing him out of the car and crashing it on Broad Street.
