DeBella on Hillary: “She’s Smooth as Glass”
Hillary Clinton phoned in to John DeBella’s WMGK morning show today to keep pace with Barack Obama’s Philadelphia morning show appearances (all tied up now, 2-2) and avoid saying anything incendiary.
DeBella, who’s chatted up plenty of politicians in his 100 years on the air, tells the Daily Examiner that Hillary operates on an entirely different level of political charm: “There’s a level of smooth that politicians have. Ed Rendell is a regular kind of guy who can hem and haw with the best of them. Nutter is smooth. But Hillary is like glass. It’s amazing how smooth she is.”
DeBella says the senator was very loose, very much on target, and passed with flying colors on just about everything he threw at her. So, was he converted?
“I don’t know who I’m voting for yet, ” he says, adding that he’s still trying to get Obama and John McCain on air before he makes that decision. But he said Obama might be a long shot:
“I’m beginning to believe the stories that he’s given up on this state.”
Damn typical white people.
