Temple Fans Who Made the Trip Out to Denver Must Feel Foolish

Dead owlWell, that was quick. The Temple Owls became the first Philadelphia-based casualty of the NCAA tournament, never really getting their act together against a Michigan State team that completely overpowered them, 72-61. Maybe there is something to that whole “oxygen-depriving high altitude” thing?

The Owls played pretty flat, and when your leading scorer goose-eggs the first half, you know you’re pretty much headed for trouble. Regardless, congrats to Temple head coach Fran Dunphy for getting the team this far. Who’ll be the next to fall — St. Joseph’s or ’Nova?
