Leer and Learn at “Local Hottie of the Day”

Local HottieFor a second, just ignore the amateurish Blogspot platform and focus on the philosophy behind the “Local Hotties” site as explained by one of its “founders,” Rob, a 26-year-old real estate agent from Holland, Pa: “The site really came about after I was drinking with a buddy and we started realizing that we miss a lot of opportunities to talk to girls. Either by drinking too much or just plain not saying hi to them. So I was explaining this to Kevin and we realized … who better to get advice from than the girls themselves?”

Oh, the joys of quasi-entrepreneurial internet voyeurism.

yet another local hottieMakes sense. Kind of. But is it real? Rob and his partner, Kevin, a 27 year-old IT project manager from Manayunk, insist it is. They pluck the attractive girls off MySpace, solicit dating advice from them via e-mail, then post it up on the site. Advice along the lines this, from today’s featured gal, JaymiiLee (sic) from Philly proper, who passed along this sage wisdom to would-be hottie-poachers:

…get to know the girl as a “friend” first.. less pressure on both of you, and the relationships usaully will work out a hell of alot better! you dont want to be with this “awesome” chick just to find a month later you scored with a total lunatic!

See? Friending before fondling.

Local HottieAmazingly, the site’s hottie archive is pretty substantial (about 200 since mid-2007). Both Rob and Kevin insist that they have a “good rapport with most if not all of their hotties,” and that finding girls willing to be featured on the site isn’t as difficult as it would seem: “We just start adding all of the girl’s friends (via MySpace) and once one does it, their friends usually follow. Most of them are wannabe models, too, so they’re usually willing to do anything to further their modeling careers.”

Right now, the duo makes a measly $50 to $100 a month from some of the ads (Rob does it from work, so his overhead is covered), but within the next two months they plan to have a sleeker, more professional-looking site up and to expand the “Local Hotties” brand to other regions. They do want to make money at this someday.

Who knows? Joe Francis had to get started some place.
