McNabb Reveals His Brett Favre Crush
Today at noon, NFL.com will offer a live broadcast of Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre’s retirement press conference — the equivalent of a somber eulogy for many a worshipful Midwestern cheeseface and fawning NFL analyst. Put the Eagles’ Donovan McNabb on that list as well, as the oft-injured quarterback dropped in on his Yardbarker blog not to ask for more playmakers, but to honor Favre.
In his post, McNabb acknowledges the comparisons that have been made between him and Favre over the years and admits he tries to emulate him whenever possible. Also, Donovan said that the most admirable thing about Brett’s game was how many consecutive games he started, adding, “I know first-hand how difficult that is. No matter how hard you train or what type of shape you’re in, a freak thing can happen at any time to anyone.”
Yeah, we know.
