Philly-Disser Ray Nagin Again Showcases His Questionable Leadership Abilities

Loudmouthed mayor of N’awlins Ray Nagin has found himself the subject of public scrutiny (again), this time over this Times-Picayune photo depicting him pointing a gun at the city’s chief of police. Although both men are laughing, Nagin’s getting the appropriate static from locals, anti-gun activists, and anti-Nagin activists.
Too bad. We’d feel sorry for the mayor in this type of situation, but let’s not forget what this Chocolate City-loving lunatic once went on record to say about our fair city:
“Let me tell you something: Ya’ll oughta go to Philly, and you will appreciate how clean New Orleans is. Just go and walk around Philly a little bit, and you will appreciate — am I lying? You will appreciate New Orleans. We still have some work to do, but we definitely beat them by a long shot.”
Yeah …
Anyway, good luck with the PR spin on this one!

I recall a news photo of Diane (sp.?) Feinstein at a news conference a few years ago, standing on a platform, holding an “assault rifle” (maybe an AR-15) at waist level (pointed at the crowd) - with her right index finger INSIDE THE TRIGGER GUARD, while talking to the assembled media and onlookers.
Most of the crowd was oblivious to the Senator’s ignorance and the danger presented by the way the “good Senator” was holding the gun, rather they were enthralled by her “words of wisdom” as to why we didn’t need such weapons to defend our homes.
From the photo above, I can’t quite tell if the “good mayor’s” index finger is inside the trigger guard or not.
One of the things my Daddy drilled into my head about safely handling a gun was keeping the damn thing pointed at the ceiling or the floor.

I love our fair city and am quick to stick up for it when idiotic outsiders call us fat or ugly or miserable, but I had no problem with what Nagin said about the trash. He was right. Philly is covered in trash.
